ONGOING PROJECT
Cityscapes is a series of photographic portraits of national and international cities based on the north-south axis and east-west axis on the city’s topographic map.
At every point where the north-south axis and east-west axis intersect, photos are taken in all directions. Literally creating a cross-section of the city.
Cityscapes shows cities in an objective and interpretation-free manner. It shows the city as it actually is, rather than how city marketers like to present the city.
Cityscapes have been created in the following cities: Amsterdam, Penang, Kortrijk, Herford, Shanghai, Philadelphia, Almere, Alkmaar, Zwolle, Paris, Munich, London, Valenciennes, Rotterdam and Hamburg. Below a small selection is displayed.
