MARBLEPUBLIC

Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, 1991

In 1991, the retrospective called Marblepublic took place in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. The exhibited works were a continuation of the works that Irene Fortuyn made with her husband, who passed away in 1988, under the name Fortuyn-O’Brien. The exhibition focuses on the search for the functioning and presentation of art.

Marblepublic is also the name of a sculpture consisting of two armchairs covered with marble draperies.
